Linda Orton

Linda Orton has been a Master Gardener in Shelby County TN since 1996. In the early years of her MG participation, she acted in the role of Vice President, Treasurer and chaired the first years of the Gardens In Progress and Spring Fling projects. She fell in love with hydrangeas and along with four friends, they founded the Mid-South Hydrangea Society which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2024. She worked in the investment banking business for 40 years and following her retirement in 2014, she was fortunately able to travel around the world for several years. She sealed back in Memphis in 2018, where she currently gardens in any 1000 square foot patio filled with pots of hydrangeas and other plant loves, clematis and hostas.
